In the foothills of the Massif de l’Esterel, the “Pays de Fayence” is ideally situated
between the sea and the mountains. Its nine perched villages enjoy a sheltered
position giving it a pleasant climate throughout the year.
The charming village of Fayence is built on the slope of a hill. From the clock-tower
of its ancient church, one has a panoramic view of the countryside and the mountains
of Provence.
Within an easy drive are Cannes, Grasse with its perfume industry, the lake of St
Cassien, Saint Tropez, the Gorges of Verdon and the Gorges du Loup (Canyons). It is
conveniently situated for outdoor activities of all kinds: walking, cycling, riding,
swimming, sailing, rafting and even golfing and gliding.
Fayence has an international reputation for its high-altitude flights “in the wave”.
Flying over the surrounding area of the Alps and the French Riviera is a unique
experience for beginners and experienced pilots.
Two golf courses ranking among the most prestigious in Europe are within 6km from
our B & B and welcome golfers of all levels wishing to pit oneself against these
golfing challenges … Alongside the famous courses, “Les Golfs de Terre Blanche” provides
golfers with the latest teaching and training methods with its high quality golfing
facilities and equipment.
In Fayence and its neighbouring villages are numerous fine restaurants – four
of them with Michelin stars. There are Provencal markets, concerts, chamber music
recitals and art exhibitions.
“La Bégude du Pascouren” also offers ideal facilities for a restful holiday: to
